Art Projects for Adult Learners

Post by emilyshaw » Thu Dec 14, 2006 2:35 am

I'm going to be substituting in an adult ESL school over the holidays and am looking for some appropriate art projects that I could use. The students are in their 20-30's.

Each class is 3.5 hrs long, and I'd like to be able to do something fun -- and instructive -- to break up the class.

Thanks.

Drawing Vocabulary Words

Here's a lesson that I created to reinforce vocabulary words through drawing:

Students were instructed to choose a word from a list, draw the word (or cut out a corresponding image from a magazine), then write the word in a sentences.

This activity was a huge success for high beginning ESL students.
