Hi everyone,
I'm stuck teaching New Interchange -to Advanced students this term- and I find it boring going through the same motions over and over again: First conversation & practice, then grammar focus, accompanied by exercises, a listening in between, then vocabulary...although the authors provide additional activities, I find I cannot make it interesting enough. I feel I'm boring my students following the same routine every two days...any suggestions on how to spruce it up? :)

If they are fairly advanced students, I'd suggest bring in some realia to help spruce things up... It can be newspapers, magazines or anything else that is interesting and also do some project work which will give them something more meaty to do with presentations and groupwork.

There's more on using Realia at my Website - http://www.jamesabela.co.uk/advanced/realia.html
