pre-intermediate level e-pals needed for a CALL project

E-PAL PROJECT CALL FOR HELP

I am a teacher of a class of ten 13-year-olds from Serbia on a look-out for e-pals for a serious CALL project.

The class is a very strong Pre-Intermediate with a need to improve their written English and essay writing skills. All the children have been learning English for at least 5 years. The coursebook we’re using is Longman’s Get on Track to FCE with the aim to take FCE exam in due time.

We are looking for a class on approximately the same level with approximately the same number of students and, if possible, of approximately the same age and a regular access to the computer room.

The idea is to make this a guided e-mail writing project with the teachers working together on producing a “syllabus” of topics according to the coursebooks. The project should also include error-correction and teacher-student feedback and will hopefully result in improving the students’ writing skills in a way that would be interesting and challenging for them.
