I need your help with funny/'interesting vocabulary exp.

I'm trying to compile a list of interesting or funny explanations that students have given you to describe vocabulary that they didn't know (using known words to describe unknown words). Example: The student says, "There were many...how do you say...the mouse with wings? Answer: bats. Or, I hurt my foot finger (toe). Or, "My father, he is finished." (dead)

If you have any examples like these, please send them to me. Please say what the student said, what the vocab. was they were trying to get to, and where the student was from.
