career prospects

Hi there

I'm an academic manager in a Wall Street Institute (the macdonalds of language learniing) and am fed up with the number of hours/amount of pay i get. From numerous meetings with the boss, i'm starting to realise that there is no room for progression within the school and am starting to think about looking elsewhere for a career.

I have a degree in linguisitics, three years experience (one of which as teacher/centre manager) but not much else. What are my options? I would like to stay in the training sector, but move away from teaching and towards management, recruitment and training if possible. Is my sort of experience transferrable to any other position (training manager in a company, for example), and can one really make a career out of ESL (other than setting up one's own school)?
