classroom management

Post by rum hera ria » Fri Sep 23, 2005 6:41 am

hi, all.

i am looking for books or articles or web site about classroom management for an English class situation. so far i've already had about "seating arrangements" and "giving instructions". I need more in specific topics which deal with managing an english class.

I began researching classroom management when I took on this middle school job teaching English. One thing I can tell you that you can count on is to not trust anything that says "10 ways to....." or anything that gives you specific instructions on what you should do. Advice that tells you to create specific rules or say specific things. No management system works for everywhere. It is practical to have some suggested ideas or examples to follow, but ultimately you will design your own classroom management plan to fit your situation and your style.
