ESL program directors

Post by more » Fri Jun 27, 2003 6:43 am

I am wondering why there is not much written or discussed about ESL directors. I would appreciate it a lot if anyone knows where can I find materials or discussion group about this topic.
thanks

More,

I have noticed that as well. TEFL.com had a management section for a while, but they closed it down for "lack of interest" (read lack of advertising). I thought it was pretty good.

I would like to see more management discussion as well.

Regards,

Corey

I'd like to see more, too

I think most of us are just too busy these days! But yes, I would like to see more discussion amongst ESL managers. It would be particularly interesting to contrast the ways in which ESL management is handled from country to country.

I think it depends more on the ownership than the country. One thing guarenteed to ruin your day is a part-time owner who tries to make full-time decisions. An owner who works full-time and is informed is different.

I am an ESL director currently working at a high school in the United States. Most of our ESL students are Asian.
