Hi,

My name is Lance and I am a multi-subject credential candidate at Cal State Fullerton. Although this is an assignment, I am particularly interested in what teachers are doing to today to enhance the learning process of our EL students. If you would be so kind as to list and provide a brief explanation of the top three strategies, activities, or guidelines you use to make it meaningful for our second language learners.

Thank you so much for your feedback and I look forward to the lively and interesting responses.

Hmm, I didn't even see this post before. You probably would have had better luck in another forum. This one is usually for people who are managing language schools or departments. It doesn't usually refer to classroom management by an individual instructor as far as I know.

* Trying to create a planning centered on learners, by imaging ...what would I prefer to do as student in this class? communicative activities??
* I work on Communicative approach which is difficult when there are discipline problems in class.
* Motivation is the KEY!!! songs, games, quizzes, dialogues, roleplays and explanations are short as possible...in Primary Education their attention is... ufff!!
* Try to create a good climate in class...to establish a good relationship with students...try to connect with their hearts and interests.

I hope that this is enough...
