I'm feeling a bit down (I know, poor me!) and hope y'all have some good advice for me! I'm the ESL program coordinator and only instructor starting up a program at a technical/careers school. Everything is great cos I'm totally in charge of cirriculum, but I think no one understands anything about what ESL is including the admissions guys. For example, everyone seems shocked I can't speak Spanish. Frankly, the problem is me. How can I get my nice co-workers to understand ESL is a little different administratively than say, running a dental hygenist program?

After teaching overseas where most of my friends were teachers, I think I now assume everybody knows about this stuff and I'm crap at connecting into this totally different school environment.
