I'd be grateful if anybody helps me with any literature on class observation. Actually, I'm a senior teacher and I'm devloping a project on how class and peer observation can help teachers be more effective.

A couple of useful books are:
Classroom Observation Tasks by Ruth Wanyjrb
Teacher Mentoring
by Caroline Bodocky and Angi Malderez
Advising and Supporting teachers by Randall and Thornton
The latter two are published by Cambridge University Press, but I can't remember the publsiher of the Wanyjrb book off-hand - sorry!
The school I work for also offers on-line training modules, one of which os on observing teachers and giving feedback. More inormation is on our website www.ihlonline.co.uk
