ONE-ON-ONE teaching for a newbie

Hi everyone! I was wondering if you have any tips for me to survive my first week of teaching esl/efl as well as literature to Koreans. What makes me nervous is that each class is 90 minutes long and one-on-one. I won't be able to do those fun stuff I use in typical class sizes such as cooperative learning.

Do you have any ideas on activities that can maximize my student's learning? Also, do you have tips for my first day of class which involves getting to know the student? Help please! THanks

Why not use ready-made conversation materials developed for tutoring advanced students?

Check out my website www.compellingconversations.com for free sample chapters of in-depth conversation materials.

Good luck
