hi, everyone! i'm a university student majoring in English education. i tooka parttime job of teaching primary school students. i've learned a lot from it, but the problem is sometimes i can control the class, especially when i play games in the class. the kids will become very excited and noisy, very hard to control you know. so sometime i want to shout to them or be angry at them. it works. but only a few minutes. later they will be the same. i don't want to rule over them. i just want to creat a harmonious atmosphere among the students and i. but actually, it's really hard.
i know you are experienced teachers, and you must have many good ideas to share with me. please help me!

first, do you use any classroom management strategies? If so, what are they?
We are 3 students of laval university studying to become ESL teachers and we have learn throughout our classes and our interships some GOOD strategies such as:
1. Rewards and punishment like extra homework
2. Create a structure frame to advertise the students, the parents and the principal
3. Extra marks and bonus points
4. Stay in the classroom during the recess and fill back the time lost in class while talking and misbehaving

Have you heard of these strategies before?
