Good idea -- reading in English improves all your English skills.

Here's an easy novel that a lot of my students liked:

It may be too easy -- but the company publishes higher level books, too. Good luck.

Short Novels

Post by fdwilliams » Wed May 25, 2005 12:31 pm

Here are three short novels that are of very high quality -- we use them to prepare Korean high school students to study at top American universities -- and they are sometimes used to prepare for the college-level Advanced Placement exam.

Animal Farm -- George Orwell

Of Mice and Men -- John Steinbeck

The Pearl -- John Steinbeck

If you find these too difficult, you might try some children's classics -- shorter novels written for young people (10-14)
