Do good EFL / ESL schools exist?

Post by Felonious_monk » Sat Jun 27, 2009 4:40 pm

I'm quite knew to all this and have to say am quite bewhildered by the lack of teacher comments on the net regarding good places to work.

At first I thought the net might be a good place to find such comments from teachers on the EFL profession.

But all I'm coming up with on the subject of schools and their scruples in rewarding teachers with acceptable pay and conditions are examples of bad ones.

It's good there are blacklists out there and postings warning people off rip-off employers , however - there appears to be an absense of recommendations of schools that actually do treat their staff well.

Can someone offer me some insight as to whether this is a distortion of the industry or whether it is the norm? If so, i'd be grateful

thanks

I am working in Hanoi. I have worked here before for 6 months with Oxford English. This school has been honest and very supportive for new teachers. I think I am in a goos situation here. :D
