This school is in a very remote location, about 35 minutes from Jinju. The school breached the contract twice, and conveniently used the excuse that 'the governing language of the contract was Korean, and the English translation was incorrect.
The apartment the school provided was in an old run-down building, with no air-con. When I made a request to find my own suitable accommodation, the principal refused to allow it, although in the contract there was a clause stating the teacher could seek new suitable accommodation, and the school would pay a certain amount towards the rent.
The whole episode was appalling. This school needs to be avoided at all costs!
