Cambridge and Trinity?

Hi Guys,
can you tell me whats the difference between the cambridge and trinity english qualifications for students. I am teaching students at the moment who will be doing the trinity exams, but some have done cambridge before.
whats the difference? is one better than the other? are they both world recognised?
