Canadian French teacher wants to teach in USA- is possible?

Hi,
I am a Canadian teacher, living in Montreal, and I have heard that it would be possible to teach in United States. I teach French, Geography and History. I would be very much obliged if you could help me with some information: how can I work there? What do I need? where do i start to apply? Are there some school boards that I could contact?
