General Teaching

This will be my first year teaching and at first I was okay, but now Stressing out. I start in less than 1 week and I'm teaching 5-7 year olds with either no knowledge or some knowledge of English.
I'm told that I'll be teaching Communication and another teacher will be teaching Phonics FROM THE SAME BOOK to the same group of kids.....now, how in the world (besides through song and games) am I supposed to teach these kids ABC's???!!!
Any suggestions? My brain hurts. <3
