And in Catalán?

Post by revel » Tue Oct 26, 2004 2:35 pm

Hey there!

Keeping with "eating" metaphores, here's one from Catalonia (forgive the spelling....)

Setze jutges mengen fetge en un jutjat.

(Seventeen judges eat liver in a courtroom. MMMM!)

And another from the same region:

Plou poc pero per poc que plou, plou prou.

(It rains little but as little as it rains it rains enough.)

peace,
revel.

Boy have I got egg on MY face! :D

I stand corrected, SJ is right, 16, not 17, been four years since I lived in Tarragona and my Catalan is pretty rusty evidently. But, I suppose that since he did not correct anything else, my spelling was not that bad in the sentence I offered up....

peace,
revel.

The end of a horror? I've just heard the BBC say "in twenty-oh-six". Hurrah. Does that mean the end of " two thousand and .... " ?

I blame that Kubrick myself.
