How different are BrE and AmE versions of Harry Potter?

How different are BrE and AmE versions of Harry Potter?

I heard that a different 'americanized' version is published in the US.

Also don't Americans find two hours of British accents in the movies hard to digest?

Which movie doesn't have 2 hours of at least some British accents? You can't have a movie without a bad guy!
