types of sentences

Post by katherine » Sun Feb 06, 2005 11:17 am

In English IS the notion of grammatical types of sentences similar to the notion of communicative types of sentences?

Please answer the question:
(Types of sentences are :declarative, interrogative, imperative / declarative, interogative, exclamative, imperative.)

Is grammatical types of sentences are distinguished only on paper and communicative in speech?

The book says that sentence is a communicative unit , so what that has to do with grammar?

Is it so that types of sentences are divided into: communicative types and grammar types? What is the difference between them?

The library is closed today, the internet has not such an information and I got confused.

If you know write please here your thoughts.
