some negative infinitive clauses that cause problems

Hurry not to be late.
Hurry in order not to be late.
Hurry so as not to be late.

Why is the first one wrong?

Take care so as not to get sick.
Take care in order not to get sick.
Take care not to get sick.

Why are all three of these acceptable?
