Gossip

In the great words of Stephen Jones, "read what I say" .
If you want to talk about gossip, or discuss anything that doesn't relate to "applied linguistics" (which is the name of this forum), you should go to the above mentioned forum. If you are a student/learner of English and want to discuss topics such as gossip to improve your English, you should go to the above mentioned forum. I'm making a constructive suggestion to you. Normal conversation, RR.
Language is a tool, RR, and you do have to practice using it. I'm not judging your English as "bad" or "too bad for this forum". I'm simply stating that this forum is really just for discussing language (and topics such "the life of an English teacher") Most of the participants here are people interested in discussing language. You'll find that, after you've made enough postings about gossip, and made some offensive statements, and caused rediculous arguments, etc, people won't talk to you.
We generally don't play the "haha, I got you", "I win, you lose" and other games unless they relate to applied linguistics (right guys?)

I'm honestly not sure. I guess I could subjectively say that "I like spicy food" is not as juicy a topic as he would like to discuss.
But at least he can start a thread there and see if it works out. That was a couple of weird days for Lorikeet though. You wouldn't believe what she has to go through with guys like that (and Shun, of course)

So Reddrose has found a new home. I notice you are referring to this person as "he". I suspect Reddrose is in fact a bloke too, but I don't think it's Shun.
Well, I suppose talking about one's love of curry and chilly con carne is a spicy subject of sorts; and fruit cordials are certainly juicy. Looks like this person has succeeded in his aim, though. What are we doing if not gossiping?

I don't think so either. I think it was a case of someone really getting into the wrong forum, and then posting inappropriately, probably because of language difficulties.Andrew Patterson wrote:So Reddrose has found a new home. Heh heh. All's well that ends well, eh?

Today I felt free to login to this forum, I was astonished: so many people are so interested in me and my gossip!
the funnier is that everyone here thinks I am a man
I wonder why you guys think so
and Yes, I like spicy food, however, referring to my gender, you guys are totally wrong!
I am a hot woman, with proportional shape and typical Chinese appearance. if you wonna know how I look like, pm me and tell me your email address, I will send you my pic
make sure you wouldn't fall in love with me.
I has bad english, and you guys are used to showing off your excellent english, however, why am I still a star on this forum even after I left
In this respect, I am proud of myself! sometimes personality and charms are more impressed than excellent english
Now I have another happy home, it is Lauri's english lesson page on which I can learn english easily. thanks Lauri(Lorikeet) for your patience and your wonderful webpage. I am expecting more english lessons on your web.
Have a nice day, guys!
