Dead wood?

Post by dom64 » Tue Mar 07, 2006 7:20 pm

What to do with old colleagues from different cultures who have been around for an age and are reluctant or hostile to change? For example a reluctance to use IT or less teacher centered methods. Yes, the title is loaded but there is a gap in the staffroom here causing some ructions not least in expectation and responsibility. I don't want things to get confrontational but they might.

This would probably get more of a response on the Job Discussion forums, dom, and a bit more detail (once there perhaps, have you applied to join yet?) wouldn't hurt either.

You could alos try the ESL management forum.

However you do have a problem. One benefit of working in China is that staff turnover is very high. Every cloud... :?
