Among , Amongst , While , Whilst

Post by briank » Sat Jul 29, 2006 3:46 pm

Hello there,
My name is Brian and I'm from Singapore.
I must say that I really enjoy reading the stuff that have been posted on this forum; it's really an education for me !

I also just wanted to find out if there are any differences between
the conjunctions - 1) among and amongst and 2) while and whilst.
I don't think I've ever used amongst or whilst in writing.

Thanking you in advance.
Brian

Quinion's World Wide Words is always worth a look for this kind of thing.
