How do you feel about "might well not have" below? Do you use it? And, if a teacher, do you teach it?

But, in the future, men might well not have to be so nice in order to guarantee the success of their societies - and themselves!

Is that a quotation by the way?

To CAE students and above, I teach "could well (not)", "might well (not)" and "may well (not)" vs "might as well" and "may as well" noting that "could as well" doesn't exist.

I don't specifically teach it with "have to" but what I teach does not in any way imply that this form is not possible. You can't teach everything. I try not to overload my students.

If I was asked then I would just say, "Yes, why should it be wrong?" And elicit or explain.
