Super Mario World

Post by Metamorfose » Tue Mar 18, 2008 1:05 am

Hello

I was just asked this: Why the title of the videogame is "Super Mario World" and not "Super Mario's World"? Any specific reason?

Thanks

José

Because Shigeru Miyamoto needs more English lessons...

I guess only Shigeru Miyamoto would know, but I'm guessing that he simply thought it sounded better. In real life his English is pretty poor and so he may not have known that he broke a grammar rule with the title. Trust me it's not the worst title to be sent over from Japan, just think of the plethora of other oddly titled games!
