Exhibition/s Accommodation Consultant

Post by rebrik » Mon Jul 07, 2008 6:20 pm

Hi guys,

Which of the following is correct?

1. Exhibitions Accommodation Consultant

or

2. Exhibition Accommodation Consultant

The role of the consultant is to find hotel accommodation for people attending various exhibitions. I have seen the job title written as in 1., however, then I came across the expression Exhibition Accommodation Service and realised that 2. seems more correct as the word 'exhibition' is used here as an adjective.

Please advise. Thank you so much.

It isn't a common job - I can't find either on Google (Korea).

Although 2 is perhaps a more common pattern, I would suggest that 1 gives people a clearer idea of what the job entails, and would in this case thus be preferable. I don't think it breaks any particular golden grammar rule.
