During every English teaching session I asked my students (EFL beginners) what the difficult words were in the text they would read, they would highlight some words and leave others. one day, I begged them to ask all they words they would find difficult but no change. So, I decided to make them translate the text they would read and it worked because they had to ask me all the words without begging them. Later I decided to make the intermediate and the advanced learners translate texts or convesrations in real time and orally.
