Learning Strategies and Culture

Hi!

Can anybody recommend a text book or research that has been done on the link between learning strtegies and culture? I'm particulary interested in Arab culture and how it has impacted on learning styles and learning strategies.

have you tried hofstede? he had some interesting theories about culture, work, and study; i'm sure his critics would be interesting too.
