I was reading back through the first few pages of this thread. 'I have brought you a cup of tea' featured prominently in the discussion.

I have/brought/made a cup of tea (look! Hmm tasty!)
I have brought/made a cup of tea.
I have brought/made a cup of tea for you - I have brought/made you a cup of tea.

All that looking around/backwards/up/down/in/out and sideways made me a bit giddy - I myself would be looking just at the steaming cuppa. :D
