There's/There are...

I find it easier to say "there's" than to say "there're" which is how I pronounce it. I think that's part of the reason why it's become used.

I don't pronounce it as "there're", but as "there", which has a slight sound of two syllables. I've heard many who also do the same.

EG

There more apples in the fridge if you want one.

Yes I agree. It's sort of elongated.
