Hello,
I'm not sure if I understand the meaning of the expression "calling out my name" correctly. I think that if "something is calling out your name" you want it very much, you really want to have it, you strongly desire it. For example ,"Those shoes were calling out my name" ( I really wanted to buy them).

"That car really took my fancy" is structurally* and semantically similar, and probably the more frequent.

*Provided we can accept the Simple Past rather than Present Progressive, the former of which implies one has possibly already bought it!
