I know this is the wrong forum for this but...
I'm simply doing what I can, and since this seemed to be the most recently active board, I thought I'd post my request here:
I'm looking into teaching ESL/EFL whatever, however, in order to do so, I'll need to choose a school and such.
If anyone is willing to take the time, please email me, at [email protected], or reply in this thread, your experiences with schools, and personal recommendations for a young man in California.
Thank you very much.
Mod(s), even if you have to move this, please feel free to respond yourself if you can, thank you.

The Job Discussion forums are probably a better place to post such an inquiry, although you will probably be flamed as much as you'll be helped.
Where are you?
You could do a Google search to find California universities and private schools that offer TEFL/TESOL certificate programs, CELTA certificate programs, and MA programs in TESOL or applied linguistics. For example, there are several in the Bay Area.

Well I haven't been flamed here yet so...
I live a wee north of the Bay Area. I don't particularly like San Francisco though... and would prefer to not have to spend more than a year in training (read: would like to get started soon).
Also... aside from TESL, TEFL, and MA, I don't know these acronyms yet.

Again, doing a search on Google for any and all terms will tell you what they mean and where you might pursue them! You'll also find all of them discussed regularly everywhere on Dave's ESL Cafe, where you are right now.
Hint: Look at Dave's home page <www.eslcafe.com>. Click links, read a bit, gather info, and click some related links. You'll find everything you need in no time.
