Let's not do a lot of defining please.

He means, all modals are to do with either what is possible, or what is necessary, innit.

I vote yes until I can think of a no. I shan't vote properly because I don't like being told what to do by teacher trainers with such horribly fixed ideas.

I have a mind to tear out some pages from Lewis, put them in the lavatory, and inform "Newsweek".

Hang on! "Shan't". I vote no then.
