Slang in movies - help!

Post by gbarbulet » Tue Aug 16, 2005 12:36 pm

Hi,
I am working on a Phd. on slang in movies. However, it is pretty difficult to find theoretical background for my research. Could you help, please?

Thanks a lot

Just to clarify what it is your researching:

Do you mean your doing research on the represntation of slang used by characters in movies? If so, I wouldn't think you'd find anything that specific because the language used by these people is supposed to represent reality (and there are many books on slang from the States and the UK)

Or do you mean the specialized language used by people in the business of movie-making? Such as the terms used by the actors and directors and film crew when communicating in their workplace?
