In the end, whether we learn English in an EFL or ESL environment, does it really matter?

I mean, does it really make that much of a difference in terms of acquiring the language more successfully?

I believe that an ESL context would allow a more accelerated path of acquiring proficiency in English.

The English classroom in Korea or Japan provides enough important input to lead to language acquisition as would living in an ESL context, right?

Even living in an ESL environment, the input learners have outside isn't always going to provide useful input.

Is the ability to acquire an L2 primarily based on inate factors?

Does the environment really play as much of a role in successful acquisition as maybe Krashen thought?
