Hello, everybody!

I'm a new member. I'm an English major student living in China. Now I'm going to write a research paper about error analysis. I come across a problem. According to different linguists, there are different methods of classifying language errors, so I'm confused because I don't know which method is more authoritative and convincing. I need some help. Thank you very much! :?

Well, we could form a support group!

One of the main problems with linguistics is that there is no agreement as to the terminology used to analyse specific languages. That is to say each school, or even individual linguist, will disagree as to what the parts of speech in English are and what parts of speech each word can be.
