Is this acceptable English, IYO? Would you teach it?

IMHO it sounds weird to me. But then again, I don't get invited to those kinds of parties.

Looks odd to me. I guess it's being used the same way as sell in The latest edition of Headache is selling well, but it sounds more like The caviare is eating well.

Mind you, the only$800 a bottle bit is rather startling too. Was it a corporate client? :wink:
