Not sure this is the right forum but I'm not signed up for anything more relevant at the moment and need a quick answer!
I just started an ESOL class Level 1, my students are all classic EFL students though and so the ESOL material is largely irrelevant to them.
Which Headway book is most appropriate? I was thinking Intermediate, what do you reckon?

That would depend on whether it was level E1a, b, c or d literacy or non-literacy. Ie whether the students have learnt to read and write in their own languages. In EFL, this is almost a given, In ESOL, it most certainly isn't. In fact, in E1a literacy classes be prepared to have to show your students how to hold a pen - I am not exaggerating. Headway starter might be OK for E1b or c.
Do not get the idea that EFL and ESOL are the same, they are not.
