i am an english teacher in a high school in beijing in China , how can i get my students to remember these uncommon words but imortant for them ,because these words must be examined .

It doesn't matter all that much how uncommon words are - the students don't know that. Make them common in the input you give them.

Actually, shamefully, I really like being forced to teach obscure, useless words. It makes a refreshing change of material for me.

I also love to teach uncommon words and try to put in one I don't know in every lesson. I often underline words in something I am reading and then try to use one of them with my students so by the end of the day with many classes at least I know it. I didn't think it would be that useful but was amazed to see how many of these words turned up in the IELTS. "Extant" and "ontology" are the latest ones.
