I came across something called the 'Columbia School' today (whilst browsing Google Book Search). I don't recall hearing or reading much about it before, but it looks interesting and some of it could be worthwhile reading. For example:

>>>> http://condor.admin.ccny.cuny.edu/~jdav ... dagogy.doc

etc.

There are some nice ideas in there (the wiki article). Wouldn't it be great if we were all less concerned with the schools, and the names, and the dates, and the abstruse quotes, and got to grips with the ideas a bit more?

For one thing I don't see that these ideas are all related, so if I want to take issue with the "Columbia School" then what would I really be on about?
