Praxis II/ New ESL Lateral Entry Teacher

Post by Lvsseasand » Wed Jun 18, 2014 9:01 pm

Hello Everybody!
I am brand new to this forum, and I hope that I put this question in the correct thread. If not, please let me know or bump me to the appropriate one. My question is concerning the ESL Praxis II Test. I am pursuing a second degree in speech pathology, and have experience in ESL, although more or less in a tutoring environment, rather than in public or private schools. I am wondering if I need to take college courses in ESL (like in a ESL licensure program) to pass the Praxis? I really think that if I study the ETS material, along with my phonetics curriculum, and other ESL Amazon books that I could pass. But, I would love to hear some advice on this. I plan on taking the Praxis in about a month or so, to prepare for employment this Fall.
Thank you for any and all help! :)
