First meeting assessment

Post by Popo » Mon Feb 15, 2016 11:55 am

Hi everyone!

I have just completed my studies for teaching and I am going to meet a student for the first time. So, we are talking about 1-1 private lessons and I was wondering if you could suggest any material for assessing her level.
She told me that she studied it in High school (in Italy) and then completely gave it up. This, from my little experience, makes me think she could possibly be an A2-B1.

I was thinking about a conversation with a few questions that would let her introduce herself, but focused on specific grammar points, and a reading test with open-ended questions.

I thank you all in advance from the city of the leaning tower!
