ENGLISH EVALUATION ACTIVITY???

Some ESL teacher at my school insisted that instead of "Progress Check" which I suggested the small test should be officially called"ENGLISH EVALUATION ACTIVITY". The truth is that I think this is incorrect but they seem not to understand. Comments/ suggestions welcome.
