Dear, teachers

I want to share a personal experince I am living at the school in which I have recently been hired.

Well, this previous information is just to picture the situation. I do not have as much experience as I would like to have working at schools. I have only worked with university students.

At the school, I see my coworkers quite worry about the indiscipline problems, they do have everydays, and the way they try to solve them. They have a kind of record chart in which they write what the student have done to finally send him to the principal. What I just want to know is if there is any different chart or aprevious one just to to warn the students not to continue misbehaving or else I will be forced to fill out that famoust record chart.

Don´t you follow any record chart as a warning stage or just something like that?

Any help would be truly helpful.

I'm sure that every teacher has their own way of handeling things. At my elementary school in the US, we start with having student's names on the board and checks which show how many minutes of recess they have to miss for what they did wrong. They also recieve "Gottchas", for doing something right, and have a chance of winning a prize if their name is drawn at the end of the week. At the middle school level, we hav incentive trips for students that don't recieve infractions (equivelent of getting your name on the board) in a given length of time. If the problems are serious or the child is unwilling to stop the behavior over long periods of time, then they go to the principal. Only the principals, as far as I know, have an official written record of the problems that were brought to them.
