Questions about TESOL/TEFL Certification

I'm an 18 year old college student in the Seattle area, and I'll be completing my AA degree this spring. I would really like to take some time off and teach English abroad, maybe in Europe.

My question for the experienced members here: What is the best certification course for me to take? What course did you take (if any)? Could you share some of your experiences so I know what to expect as far as certification and job placement?

Your best bet is to choose a country and then head to the forum associated with that. http://www.eslcafe.com/forums/job/ You will find lots of information about what certifications people have and important visa information.
