I don't think it has much practical application for teachers but it is nevertheless interesting.
Would you consider sign language as a second language or an extension of the first language?
The girl is obviously very gifted.

I consider sign language a second language. Althouh it isn't a foreign language it is somthing people have to learn and practice just like a foreign language. My aunt signs and she is able to say some words in english and spanish. I suppose she signs the same way too. She was able to learn all three. I thin that is a great gift.
