first thing in the morning

ASAICHI
Very casual Japanese word, literally 'Morning
One' meaning 'first thing in the morning.'
I wonder if there is any simpler expression
in English than 'first thing in the morning.'
Thank you.

As for myself, first thing in the morning is usually a case of "morning wood."
