beauty salon english
I have an advanced student who's asked me something that's a little tricky for me. She's been having trouble dealing with beauty salons, because she doesn't know the vocabulary. Does anyone know of a site with this sort of jargon?
Beauty Salon English
I taught English in Chinese Beauty Salon to complete beginners. (I am male, incidentally!)
They have a specialised vocabulary, just as any other business group has. I do not know of any web site that can help but I developed my own lessons and vocabulary.
I used the Berlitz method of teaching -- only the target language, and drilled into them the basics, such as Beautician, Masseuse, and basic phrases such as Welcome, please wait for a moment, do you want a body massage, blow-dray, short back and sides, and so on. There was much emphasis on body parts, and hair styling, facials and so on. And words for the equipment they used such as hair dryer, scissors, and so on
I would be glad to help in any way.

An excellent resource is catalogues and publicity materials. Some big companies even provide product lists in various languages.
I suggest that you (or your student) spend a bit of time on the Internet, order as much stuff as you can from suppliers and see what turns up in the mail.
Along with vocab help, these materials can be used in lessons. When the students wants to describe something but can't think of the word, he can find a picture and go from there.
